Dear Family,

I know how difficult it could be to accept strangers in your house especially for the children. I can assure you that we will do everything to make you relaxed about our presence in your house, we will be as helpful as possible and have a good influence on your children. We are two friends determined to study for their BA degrees in the UK. That’s why we need to improve our language skills and au pair program is a great opportunity for that. We come from Bulgaria. We are flexible, honest, friendly, easy-going people and will fit in well with any family who share the same qualities.

We would like to be au pair for a family that is peaceful and lovely, and believes in good values. We are seeking a family to become a part of it, not servants. Anyway we’d be really happy to help in house work like cleaning, cooking, doing laundry, ironing, gardening and taking care of pets. We can offer your children the opportunity to have big brothers who are very kind and reliable and at the same time playful and mature depending on the situation. We sincerely enjoy being around children.

I have recent experience with my sister. She’s 6 years younger than me and I used to spend a lot of time with her when our parents were at work. I know she is closely affectionate to me now because of the time we had together and would always share things with me… even though she’s almost 18 at present. We used to live in a house so that we could organize together performances for other neighborhood children in our yard. That love for arts was growing up and when finishing high school I had to leave my family and moved to live in Sofia by myself where I studied and worked to cover my rent and other expenses. It wasn’t easy at the beginning but it taught me to take care of myself. I started a BA course of Acting for drama theatre but I interrupted it soon because I decided to start over with another BA degree course but this time Directing. I studied in an English language high school where developing English language skills was essential but I’m looking forward to broadening my knowledge and experience with native speakers and environment.
Besides playing different games and doing homework, I’d love to interact with the children and teach them to different things about life and communication… I’d love to share my personal experience in life. I’m sure that I could find a good way to do it, because I’m not that far away from their age. I’d be provoking them to think and ask themselves questions.
At present I share a flat with a colleague of mine and her sister. We have an unwritten understanding that I take care for minor technical problems which our household experience. I guess I inherited that from my father. He’s an electrician. I’m definitely not an electrician but keen on fixing things. When I was a child most of my toys were taken apart… I guess that were the first steps to my technical affinity. I used to work in our small garden and take care for many different pets I had: besides ordinary dogs and cats, I had turtles, snails, birds, grass snakes and aquarium fish. I just love nature.
In my free time I enjoy biking, swimming, jogging, camping, travelling, singing (used to work in a piano bar) using computers, going to theatre, photography and socializing with family and friends.

Ivo enjoys sporty activities, going to the cinema, looking after animals, travelling, listening to music. At school he loved basketball, volleyball and even was in the school football team. He is a professional cook. He has an international certificate which he obtained just after graduating from high school. He has 5 years of experience in different restaurants and Bar&Dinner places behind his back. And I bet you and your children will fell in love with his dishes. He’s a really tidy guy. To be honest, much more than I am :-D To me sometimes that’s boring, but I bet that it is a great quality to be transferred to children. He started a technical BA degree immediately after high school but soon after realized that it’s not for him. Now he is consumed by inspiration to start over but this time he wants to put a higher standard. Ivo’s so ambitious and a real goal achiever that he was one of the few friends I shared my idea for being au pair with. I knew about his plans to study and I was sure that he would like the idea.

We would like to become a part of your family for a long term (between 12 and 24 months) and will participate in your life as much as you will allow.

We both speak English. Ivo speaks German too. We have driver licenses and couple of lessons would make us feel comfortable on the UK roads. We are non smokers.
